The silo is a self-contained underground city housing approximately 10,000 people across 144 floors. It's been home to generations who have never seen the outside world—and believe they never can.
The Floors
Upper Floors (IT) IT controls information, surveillance, and ultimately, the truth. They maintain the screens showing the toxic outside and control what residents can and cannot know.
Middle Floors Living quarters, the cafeteria, markets, schools. The beating heart of daily life.
Lower Floors (Mechanical) Engineers who keep the generator running. Without Mechanical, the silo dies. They're the essential workers, looked down upon by those above.
The Staircase All 144 floors connected by a single spiral staircase. No elevators. Every trip is a physical journey, reinforcing the social hierarchy.
