Detailed Explanation
Dexter Morgan is the central killer in the series. By day, he's a forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department. By night, he's a serial killer who targets murderers, rapists, and other violent criminals who have slipped through the legal system. Dexter follows "The Code of Harry," taught to him by his adoptive father Harry Morgan, which dictates that he only kill those who truly deserve it and who have killed before. Throughout the series, Dexter eliminates over 130 people, all while hiding his "Dark Passenger" from his coworkers, family, and the world.
