About Lanterns

Lanterns is the DCU's HBO flagship, created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, and it deliberately plays as small-town noir rather than superhero spectacle. Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan is a burnt-out veteran of the Green Lantern Corps; Aaron Pierre's John Stewart is an ex-Marine and architect who has had a power ring for about five minutes. The two are stuck in Rushville, Nebraska, working a murder across a dual timeline - 2016 and 2026 - that widens into the Manhunters, the Guardians, and a jailed Sinestro who considers John Stewart a bigger threat than any of it.
